Every Kiss Begins With Kai

A/N Second in my It Gets Better series, this is for Stuart House.

There was a clicking noise and a blurry image, before the picture was adjusted. A boy with short brown hair and a Dalton King’s jersey appeared smiling at the camera “My name is Derek Seigerson, and I’m doing this to show you that It Gets Better”

He held up a picture of him and two other boys one was blonde with bright green eyes, the other was a stunning brunette. The brunette was poking the blonde, and Derek was seen tryin to seperate the two of them looking like he was trying to stand in between them.

“These are my friends Logan and Julian, they’re both idiots, but I love them anyways. We’ve gone through a lot together, ever since Freshamn Orientation.” He gave a half smile thinking back on it.

He put the picture down and paused for a second thinking on how to start. “Neither of my friends really went through the problems at school that some of the Windsors, and Hanovers had. They were sheltered in private schools or home schooled. But they still recieved some of the back lash that comes with it.”

Derek paused not quite sure how to put this part “Logan had members of his family that were not very supportive for various reasons, and Julian’s image” the last part he said with quotation marks. “Showed him as a young straight male, which Logan and I asumed he was for a very long time.”

“I realized in Sophmore year. Logan didn’t realize until the end of Junior year when it was almost too late. Julian had been harbouring a, well once I knew about it, an obvious crush on our mutual friend. He refused to tell him believing that Logan would never reciprocate. The Great Squid Of Ignorance never noticed.”

Derek took a deep breath “Logan was told by me, against Julian’s wishes at the end of Junior year when Julian was recovering in the hospital from an attack by a sightly crazy admirer. Things were tense for a while, untl one day they walked into Breakfast holding hands, I’m still not sure what went down, but I know that both of them are happier for it.”

There was a muffled noise and shuffling “Do I really have to do this?” came a male voice. an emphatic “Yes.” and then the cap was lifted to reveal the two boys sitting on a couch beside each other.

The blonde’s brilliant green eyes were glaring up past the camera at the person behind it but he was smiling. The brunette was sitting, almost leaning against him. He spoke first “My name is Julian Larson-Armstrong and I am here to tell you it gets better.”

He squeezed the blonde’s hand “My name is Logan Wright and I am here to tell you it gets better” The screen blacked out again.

The screen came back into focus and Derek appeared “My name is Derek Seigerson and I’m here to tell you I’ve watched it get better” he smiled and then it blacked out for the final time.
